Furniture Restorations

1920 dressing table and 1900 storage

This dressing table needed a lot of TLC - it was left to gather dust in a garage after being passed down as a family heirloom.

The client wanted it looking as it would have looked when first purchased - so I needed to strip off all the old yellowed varnish and give the wood a lot of TLC. The frame needed making sturdy again - to last another 100 years and there were a LOT of veneer repairs. The end result though was stunning.

I'm blown away by these furniture restorations by Sue at Heartwood Studio. They both belonged to my grandmother.

Sue fully repaired and restored both pieces. I don't think they ever looked this good, even when new.
